I created this painting of a Cholla flower because I was inspired by all the subtle colors and tones in the petals. Although it’s not a flashy flower, it’s still beautiful in its uniqueness. In particular, the green-yellow-white-cream combination really stands out to me. I tried a couple things for the background before arriving at what you see here, which I feel really compliments and showcases the flower.
